Mission Statement

Our Mission

We the People

Americans have always been a fractious bunch; our founders squabbled every bit as much as politicians today. In fact, arguing about issues is a vibrant sign that freedom is alive and well.

Whatever their differences, however, our founders all held to a basic premise: we are one people. We believe it as well.

Whatever political differences may exist between us as citizens, we the people are America Together.

We created this organization because we believe that the fundamental truth of E Pluribus has gotten lost over the past few years.

Regardless of one’s political leanings or stances on issues, we reiterate our founders’ core beliefs that:

  • Americans are one people,
  • We are a nation of laws, and
  • Freedom is a fundamental human right.

Freedom, however, comes with responsibility. Especially at this moment in our nation’s history, we believe we can and must do better to be active, informed and responsible citizens

While many may feel a sense of disconnectedness, powerlessness before our government, we are neither—unless we choose to be.

Our entire government is based on “the consent of the governed.” It cannot do anything without our agreement expressed through our elected representatives.

We hold the freedom—and the power—to create change. We also hold the freedom—and the power--to defend and sustain that which works well.

We are just average citizens. We simply are asking you to join us to support freedom and our constitutional democracy.

Change does not come easily. Our founders intentionally—and brilliantly—designed our Constitution to make whipsaw political change difficult but steady, incremental change possible.

It all starts with our most crucial and cherished right: our vote.

Our primary goal is to encourage and support voting, not just in the 2020 national elections but at the local and state level. All of these have a direct impact on our daily lives.

Voting is an expression of our opinion and seeking to influence change but we must do more. Our elected representatives need to hear from us. They will listen if we are informed, consistent and persistent.

As we head into the 2020 election, our primary focus will be on

  • Ensuring people are registered to vote.
  • Encouraging everyone to ensure that friends and family are registered to vote.
  • Ensuring that people have voted.
  • Sharing relevant information and our perspective on key issues.

We’re just getting started so there will be more, but please join us and share your thoughts and ideas—and your questions. Let us know what matters most to you.

Freedom is not a spectator sport. We need to act. Please join us.
